Koichi Yamamura, Ph.D. is a communication consultant with extensive experience in corporate communication, M&A communication, crisis communication and communications measurement. He has published many articles including case studies and on historic evolution of PR in Japan. He has also contributed chapters on the history of public relations in Japan in several books. He is a co-editor of “Public relations in Japan: Evolution of communication management in a culture of lifetime employment.” A former executive vice president of a boutique PR firm in Tokyo, he has also held positions as head of measurement of a global automotive company and a senior advisor of a global communications measurement company. While providing counsel to companies, he also teaches global PR at Akita International University Graduate School of Communication and Language as visiting professor. He has earned Master of Science in Public Relations from Boston University and PhD in Communication from University of Miami.
